ODISSeA – Organ Donation Innovative Strategies for Southeast Asia is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission. From the European side, the University of Barcelona, Spain, is the leader and organizer of the project, together with DTI Foundation, Spain, the University of Bologna, Italy, and University of Zagreb Medical University, Croatia.
The origin of the project comes from the need for a specialized training program that builds adequate knowledge, skills and attitude in organ donation to improve the number of well-trained specialists that will efficiently coordinate the process of organ donation in the SeA countries.
The postgraduate academic program will provide a common framework to develop a student-centered lifelong learning strategy corresponding to highly specialized knowledge in organ donation.

Project Objectives

 

Working Packages

  1. Preparation     - Get universities requirements for program accreditation. Collect related data from hospitals. Specify educational needs on living and deceased organ donation.
  2. Development    - Design the teaching plan. Develop academic and scientific contents, materials and tools. Implement the Postgraduate Program on Organ Donation. Evaluate of attitude, perception and knowledge and clinical outcomes in the hospital units.
  3. Quality    - Design and implement a Results Oriented Monitoring System. Ensure the achievement of quality of design, quality of training for trainers and quality of implementation of the Postgraduate program.
  4. Dissemination - Ensure that project’s results, products and deliverables are known and made available to the target groups.
  5. Management  - Prepare and plan the management board. Monitor the project activities. Supervise the Working Packages leaders and task development. Analyse project and team performance. Create the Final Report.
