HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

History of Department Department of Endocrinology was inaugurated on 28th Dec, 2015 in University of Medicine, Mandalay and its Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit was opened in Jan, 2016 in Mandalay General Hospital (5th floor of Medical Unit 3). It is one of the COE (Centres of Excellence) in diabetes care in Myanmar and dedicated DM foot clinic. Professor Aye Aye Aung is the very first founder of this department and currently taking a lead with nine staff (2 endocrinologists and 7 doctorate students).
